The right-hand figure is the relative performance index: each team's title probability given the results so far, divided by its probability from a baseline simulation where no matches have been played, expressed as a percentage. Above 100% means a team is outperforming its pre-tournament expectation; below 100% means it is underperforming. An eliminated team drops to 0%; press Corrected index to re-sim each knocked-out team with its last match ignored — those corrected figures are shown in italics with an asterisk*.

Think of it as a very patient gambler. Every match already played is taken as fact; every match still to come is decided by a weighted coin-toss that leans towards the better side. Resolve them all and you have one plausible tournament. Do that a million times over, and the share of those tournaments a team wins is, near enough, its real chance of lifting the trophy. No crystal ball and no punditry — just arithmetic and a great many dice.
Each side's strength is drawn from the FIFA rankings; the fixtures and live scores come from the open-source openfootball project, refreshed every time you load the page. Only the matches still to play are simulated — results already in are left untouched.
The row of tabs sets the view. The status note up top says whether live results loaded or the page is running on its cached copy.

When a game you predicted is actually played, the real result takes over and your what-if for it is cleared automatically — the share link tidies itself up too.

Run a simulation and the Bracket tab draws the knockout tree, each slot showing the team most likely to reach it — in short, the favourites' path. You can also fill it in yourself.
There are no accounts and nothing to save. The web address in your browser quietly records your every choice — model, ranking, predicted scores and bracket picks alike. Press 🔗 Copy link and whoever opens it sees precisely what you see.
The team you single out in the path explorer rides along too — pick a side and a round, and the link you copy lands a friend on exactly the number that caught your eye.

Only simulates remaining unplayed matches, derived from FIFA rankings. Runs on the GPU via a WebGPU compute shader where supported, falling back to a multi-threaded CPU simulation otherwise.
Use the real FIFA order, or your own. The editor lets you drag teams into any order; each rung keeps its strength, so promoting a side genuinely makes it better. The groups themselves never change.
